Strathclyde Progress to Scottish Cup Round 3 (10/10/2015)
Strathclyde have progressed to Round 3 of the Scottish Cup after winning the replay at home against Catrine AFC. The first result was a toughly fought 1-1 draw at Catrine's home ground, however Strathclyde won the replay at stepps after a 1-0 result at home, the goal coming from Nathan Leicester, with Haydn Jamieson winning the Man of the Match award with a solid performance at Center Half.
Strathclyde are involved in another cup game next week with a game against Beith Meadowside in the West of Scotland cup.
Strathclyde lose to League Leaders Dounecastle (26/09/2015)
Strathclyde remain rooted to the bottom of the table after a 4-1 loss to league leaders Dounecastle, despite a valiant display the boys in maroon could not grab some much needed points against the strong outfit, with Ibrahim Blal being voted the man of the match.
Strathclyde remain rooted to the bottom of the table despite some good performances, after being deducted 6 points for unknowingly fielding an illegitimate player. The next match is against Catrine in the Scottish Cup second round, where Strathclyde will look to progress.
Strathclyde secure historic win to start Premier League campaign (15/08/2015)
With the odds stacked against them, eleven unlikely heroes in maroon pulled off an unexpected 1-0 win against Milton at Stepps to start the Caledonian Premier League in style. Strathclyde played a tactically brilliant game that belied the inexperience of the squad, with outstanding performances from every player and Jack Henderson just getting the nod for MoM. Match report here.
Strathclyde's next two games are against Cumbernauld Colts with Wednesday's Premier League tie being followed by the final Douglas Smith Cup match on Saturday. Saturday also sees the return of the 3rd team who kick off their season with a GDSML League Cup match against Southside Accies.
Harp hammer Strathclyde as League Cup woes continue (12/08/2015)
The second game of the Douglas Smith Cup group stage saw SUFC Caley make a much shorter trip to face recently relegated Glasgow Harp at Stepford. Strathclyde held firm for most of the first half, frustrating their hosts but a late goal in the first half before an early penalty in the second led to the floodgates opening and Harp running out 6-0 winners. Nathan Leicester was awarded MoM for his tireless efforts up front and in midfield and his match report is here.
Saturday sees the return of Caledonian Premier League duty against a Milton side that always challenge near the top of the table.
League Cup loss to start the season (08/08/2015)
SUFC Caley kicked off the 2015-16 season at the weekend; a year that will surely be one of transition for the club after the exodus of players at the end of last season. They faced Symington Tinto in the Group Stage of the Douglas Smith Cup but, despite being comfortable for large stages of the game, Strathclyde were unable to kick off with a morale-boosting win; coming back from Biggar with a 1-0 defeat. Scott Litster was voted MoM and his match report can be found here.
The next few weeks promise to be hectic for the boys in maroon with two games each week throughout August. Next up is a trip to Glasgow Harp on Wednesday, also in the DS Cup.

Rain doesn't spoil the Legends Day party as Big Fat Gypsy Strikers make Strathclyde history (06/06/2015)
SUFC's traditional season finale, Legends Day, had record numbers of participants this year, but also saw a lot of windy and wet weather. Unperturbed, however, ten teams took to the Show Park for the annual seven-a-side tournament with one of the strongest fields yet. Will Watson's Wanderers - made up of players from the Strathclyde team who were inducted into the SUFC Hall of Fame in 2014 for winning the Caledonian League - were the favourites ahead of current holders, Big Fat Gypsy Strikers, and a new look Racuntes side, not forgetting two teams from Cambria and five others determined to make an impact.
Big Fat Gypsy Strikers topped Group A on goal difference from Racuntes and, third placed Borussia Teeth, who were unlucky to go out having beaten BFGS in their final match. In Group B, Will Watson's Wanderers finished top at a canter with Cambria B taking second. Tournament top scorer, Calum MacIver and his Cambria teammates couldn't find a way past BFGS in the first semi-final, who won 2-0 with comfortably their best performance of the day. The second semi-final saw late goals for both teams, and it took penalties to separate them with the Wanderers coming out on top. Hardly surprising, since Bassett has saved one penalty in his nine year Strathclyde career (so he says...)
The final was a drab affair, with BFGS more than happy to let Wanderers press and probe without ever really troubling them. To penalties, once more! Much to most people's disgust, Ewan Mowat, BFGS's goalkeeper and manager who had been a mere spectator for most games, was the hero; twice saving to keep his team from losing before producing a third stop from Paul "I never fooken miss pens" Cross. Mowat went on to lift the Louis Robertson Shield for the third time in a row, the first time a team has managed such a feat, whilst BFGS's Jamie Pollock won the Murdo Morrison Shield for Player of the Tournament.
Thank you to everyone who came and played, and well done to Big Fat Gypsy Strikers on an unprecedented trio of Legends Day wins, their team was as follows: Ewan Mowat, Graeme Queen, Lindsay Murdoch, Scott Wightman, Ross Wilson, Jamie Pollock, and Greg Milne.
