History
Platanos FC was founded in 1974 by a group of local residents. The club started playing in the local amateur leagues and gradually worked its way up the divisions. In 2018, Platanos FC won promotion to the Gamma Ethniki for the first time in its history.
The club's home ground is the Platanos Municipal Stadium, which has a capacity of 1,000 spectators.
