Marco Verratti wants to see Paris-Saint Germain make big additions in the transfer market this summer to convince him to stay at the club.

The Italy international has been reportedly linked with a move to Barcelona and his agent Donato Di Campli has admitted he could be tempted by a move to a "top European club".

The 24-year-old is under contract with PSG until 2021.

Verratti accepts it is not a foregone conclusion he will leave, but wants to see sporting director Antero Henrique significantly strengthen a squad that finished eight points behind Monaco in Ligue 1 last season.

"I do not have to go at all costs. I want to see if this time PSG can really make a great team. In that event, I will be happy to stay," Verratti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Every year they say they will put together a great team, but then we saw the results. The promises are not enough.

"If this time, [Antero] Henrique maintains what he says, then I will be happy to stay. Nobody is forcing me to leave."
