Dimitri Payet has played down speculation linking him with a move away from West Ham and says it is "very likely" that he will still be at the club next season.

Payet, who is currently preparing for Euro 2016 with France, has been linked with a big-money move away from the Hammers following a superb debut season in England, with Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly interested.

The 29-year-old only joined West Ham from Marseille last summer, but was rewarded with a new five-and-half year contract in January in order to ward off any potential suitors.

"Journalists have placed me everywhere!" Payet told French reporters.

"But I currently have no contact [from other clubs] and I signed a very long contract with West Ham. It is very likely that I'll still be here next season."

Payet arrived at West Ham off the back of a sensational season with Marseille in Ligue 1 and has continued that fine form in the Premier League.

He scored 12 times and provided the same number of assists as West Ham finished seventh and qualified for next season's Europa League.
